(1) If what you're doing doesn't look like what Amal is doing, SHE is wrong!
(2) If what you're doing doesn't look like what ANYONE else is doing, we're your backup dancers!
(3) If you bump into someone while dancing, she should have gotten out of your way.
Amal's TOTALLI Oriental! Curriculum
Oriental Dance 100-Series: Beginning Oriental Dance (no dance experience necessary--at all!)
Beginning with Belly Dance 101, this four-course series teaches the basic movements of Oriental Dance with
an emphasis in Egyptian Cabaret style (don't know what that is? Don't worry about it!) Using the TOTALLI
Oriental! method, dancers will get a firm foundation in the art. $60/6 week series.
Oriental Dance 101: Movement fundamentals
Oriental Dance 102: Learn a REAL dance!
Oriental Dance 103: Finger Cymbals for Fraidy Cats
Oriental Dance 104: Veil Dancing for Beginners
CardiOriental:
This cardio exercise class is for EVERYONE! Using the movement of Oriental Dance, we'll shake and shimmy
off the pounds in this "No rules, no worries!" workout. The only requirement--a sense of adventure (or a
good friend who drags you along!)
Oriental Dance 200-series: Delightful Dancers Student Troupe
Dancers who have completed BD 101 and 102 OR have received instructor's permission may take their studies
further--even on the road. In addition to learning numerous folkloric dances of the Middle East, dancers will
learn performance basics and be given opportunities to dance for family, friends and charitable causes.
Performing in public is NOT required (but it's a really, really good time!)
WHO IS AMAL AL-ZAHRA?
Amal al-Zahrá is the stage name for Keri Kaeding, president of Radiant Fitness, LLC. In addition to her “day
job,” Amal has a 14-year history as a student, teacher, and professional performer of Oriental (Belly) Dance.
Most notably, Amal performed for many years as a member of Orientale Expressions (OE), one of the East
Coast’s longest-running, award-winning Middle Eastern dance troupes.
As a Fitness Educator, Keri teaches group exercise classes, leads workshops and seminars, and provides
personal training services. She is the first personal trainer in Northern Kentucky to pass the National Fitness
Boards. As a certified group fitness instructor, she is uniquely qualified to enable beginners to access this
dance form and guide experienced dancers into strong technique, while giving you a great workout!
